Living in the Davis Mountains Resort
What a great place to live! Up here the minimum acreage you can get is 5 acres. That means you've got room to move. We don't wake up to neighbors talking or working on their car or a radio blaring from a passing car. Our house is located off a seldom used road and the house isn't even visible from the road. In the mornings we get up to see deer and burros roaming around in front of the house. They like the water troughs we have out there for them and the corn we throw to the deer. Rabbits are making a comeback lately after some of the coyotes have apparently moved on to better hunting grounds. We're lucky to have like minded people living in our part of the resort who also enjoy the wildlife up here.
The DMR has an official web page managed by DMR resident Jackie Edwards. This is a great and informational site for the residents, property owners and guests of the DMR. Besides basic good, non-political and updated information, it also contains approved minuted of monthly DMPOA meetings. The minutes must be approved by the board prior to before posting. Therefore, the minutes are approximately one month behind. It's a site everyone should check out frequently.
This site is for the Davis Mountains Resort Volunteer Fire Department. It is an important site with information all property owners and residents should be aware of. Check it out and learn about your Volunteer Fire Department. DMR resident Bill Flanders administers this site.
This site is a personal web page dedicated to providing information about the Resort to residents, property owners, guests and friends of the DMR. It's a fun, non-political site and it is constantly changing. It's a great way to keep up with what's going on in the Resort.
